Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Hotel Housekeeper to join the team at one of our prestigious partner hotels in Galadimawa, Abuja. Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms and public areas according to established standards, procedures, and checklists.
  • Change linen and make beds, replenish amenities, and ensure all areas are neat, organized, and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, polish surfaces, and clean mirrors, paying close attention to detail and hard-to-reach areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly to supervision using established protocols.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, striving to exceed expectations and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of corridors, service areas, and linen/supply storage rooms.
  • Properly handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring their safe and efficient use.
  • Inspect rooms for quality assurance after cleaning and before guest arrival, ensuring readiness for occupancy.
  • Assist with laundry duties as needed, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to pay meticulous attention to detail and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, lift, and push for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
  • Basic verbal communication skills to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of basic safety procedures and precautions related to cleaning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Familiarity with various types of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment used in a hotel environment.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a strong guest service orientation.
  • Basic knowledge of English for communication purposes.
