Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our growing team in Köpenick, Berlin. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our information systems, networks, and data from evolving cyber threats. You’ll be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining our security infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and actively participating in incident response. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems for anomalies, threats, and vulnerabilities, performing initial analysis and triage.
  • Respond to security incidents, conducting investigations, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures across various systems and platforms.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing simulations, recommending and tracking remediation actions.
  • Administer security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the system development lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security principles.
  • Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security assessment methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of incident response procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, or similar.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
