Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of the hotel premises, including guest rooms, common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior grounds, to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and general carpentry to ensure optimal functionality.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, prioritizing urgent issues like leaks, power outages, and equipment malfunctions.
- Oversee and coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs, ensuring work is completed to standard and on schedule.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring adequate supplies are available for ongoing maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all safety and security protocols are adhered to, including regular checks of fire safety equipment and emergency exits.
- Monitor waste management and recycling programs, ensuring proper disposal and cleanliness of waste areas.
- Assist with minor renovations, painting, and general upkeep projects as required.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Cultivate a positive and professional relationship with hotel staff, guests, and vendors.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar caretaker role, preferably within a hospitality environment.
