Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group online tutoring sessions in specified subjects (e.g., Math, Science, English, French, History).
- Tailor teaching methods and materials to meet the individual learning styles and needs of each student.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of curriculum requirements and academic standards relevant to the subjects taught.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and engaging virtual learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students and, when necessary, with parents or guardians regarding student progress and challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student performance, and feedback.
- Stay updated on best practices in online education and incorporate innovative teaching techniques.
- Ensure timely attendance and preparation for all scheduled tutoring sessions.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in one or more academic subjects (e.g., secondary school math, university-level chemistry, English literature).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingualism in French is a strong asset).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and motivate students.
- Proficiency in using online meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) and digital learning tools.
