Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our bustling cafe team located in the heart of City Walk, Dubai. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages, including coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and other menu items, according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and manage customer orders efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, including dining areas, kitchen equipment, and serving stations, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide friendly, prompt, and attentive service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and any concerns are addressed professionally.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, monitoring product freshness, and reporting low stock levels.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring proper food handling, storage, and waste disposal.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- Handle special requests or dietary restrictions from customers with care and attention.
- Support daily opening and closing procedures, including setup and breakdown of the cafe area.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a food service or hospitality role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation (barista skills).
- Certification in Food Safety/Hygiene.
- Ability to speak Arabic or other local languages.
