Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent growth initiatives in Chitungwiza. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. You will be instrumental in identifying skill gaps, designing innovative training programs, and implementing robust development frameworks that empower our employees at all levels. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that supports Career.zycto’s strategic objectives and talent needs.
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across various departments and employee levels.
- Manage and mentor a small team of L&D professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of L&D initiatives using key metrics and adjust programs as necessary to ensure maximum impact and ROI.
- Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners to integrate L&D programs into broader talent management and succession planning efforts.
- Research and recommend new learning technologies, platforms, and external training providers to enhance our L&D offerings.
- Ensure all learning programs comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth throughout the organization.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating large-scale L&D programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and talent management best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, external vendors, and project timelines effectively.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., HR, OD, Industrial-Organizational Psychology).
- Certification in relevant L&D areas (e.g., ATD CPLP, SHRM-SCP/PHR).
- Experience working within a professional services or consulting environment.
- Familiarity with talent analytics and data-driven approaches to L&D.
- Experience with blended learning solutions and virtual learning environments.
