Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for business-critical applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex application issues, performing root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with development teams to escalate, track, and resolve bugs and functional enhancements.
- Monitor application performance and availability, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
- Assist in the deployment of new application releases and patches, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Conduct user training and provide guidance on application functionalities to maximize user adoption and efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules for critical incident support outside regular business hours when required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for support processes, tools, and overall service delivery.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in an Application Support or IT Helpdesk role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting enterprise-level applications.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and ability to write basic SQL queries.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Proficiency in German (B2 level or higher) is a significant advantage.
