Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, floors, and equipment.
  • Wash and sterilize dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils, ensuring they are readily available for use.
  • Support the kitchen team in receiving, unpacking, and organizing food deliveries and supplies.
  • Ensure proper storage of food items in accordance with food safety guidelines to minimize waste and spoilage.
  • Assist with basic cooking tasks and plating as instructed by senior kitchen staff.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and procedures.
  • Manage kitchen waste efficiently, including separating and disposing of refuse and recycling materials.
  • Support the overall smooth operation of the kitchen by anticipating needs and working proactively.
