Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests upon arrival, presenting menus and daily specials.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, paying close attention to any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely and correct delivery of food and beverages to tables.
- Serve food and beverages with a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Monitor dining areas for cleanliness and ensure tables are properly set and cleared.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other waiting staff to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized restaurant environment, including washing dishes and cleaning dining areas when needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for handling payments.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Food handler's permit (where applicable).
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Experience in fine dining or a high-volume restaurant.
- Ability to speak multiple local languages.
