Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to provide essential residential property support for a vibrant community in Karama, Dubai. This vital role involves ensuring the overall upkeep, safety, and operational efficiency of our residential building, contributing significantly to a positive living experience for all residents.
As our Caretaker, you will be the cornerstone of our property’s well-being, responsible for a wide array of duties ranging from routine maintenance and cleanliness to providing direct support to residents. You will be the first point of contact for minor issues, ensuring prompt resolution and escalation of more complex problems to management. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a proactive approach to property management.
You will oversee common areas, conduct regular inspections, and perform minor repairs to maintain the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the premises. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of the property, including common areas, amenities, and exterior grounds, identifying and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing leaky faucets, changing light bulbs, basic carpentry, and painting as required.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of common areas, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and recreational facilities.
- Assist residents with minor requests or issues, acting as a helpful point of contact and escalating complex problems to the property management team.
- Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of building systems, including lighting, plumbing, and basic electrical systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs, pest control, waste management, and larger maintenance projects, overseeing their work to ensure quality and adherence to schedules.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as water leaks, power outages, or security concerns, taking immediate action to mitigate damage or resolve issues.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling systems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service requests, and inventory of supplies.
- Enforce property rules and regulations respectfully to ensure a harmonious living environment.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to on the property.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or facilities support role, preferably in a residential setting.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
