Career.zycto is seeking a talented and dedicated Oracle Database Developer to join our growing team in Altstadt, Hamburg. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Oracle database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Perform database performance tuning, including SQL query optimization, index management, and overall system monitoring to ensure efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with application developers and data architects to translate business requirements into logical and physical database designs.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through rigorous testing and implementation of best practices for backup, recovery, and access control.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, providing timely support and effective solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems and processes.
  • Implement and manage data migration and integration strategies, ensuring seamless data flow across various platforms.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency with Oracle Database (versions 12c, 19c or higher).
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming.
  • Proven experience in database design, data modeling, and schema management.
  • Demonstrable skills in database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Familiarity with database administration tasks, including backup, recovery, and security.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional – OCP).
  • Experience with other relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Shell or Python for automation.
