Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Oracle database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Perform database performance tuning, including SQL query optimization, index management, and overall system monitoring to ensure efficiency and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with application developers and data architects to translate business requirements into logical and physical database designs.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through rigorous testing and implementation of best practices for backup, recovery, and access control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, providing timely support and effective solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems and processes.
- Implement and manage data migration and integration strategies, ensuring seamless data flow across various platforms.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency with Oracle Database (versions 12c, 19c or higher).
- Expert-level knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Proven experience in database design, data modeling, and schema management.
- Demonstrable skills in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with database administration tasks, including backup, recovery, and security.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional – OCP).
- Experience with other relational or NoSQL databases.
