Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and organizing ingredients.
- Set up event venues, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, and food service stations according to event specifications.
- Transport food, beverages, and catering equipment safely to and from event locations.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner during events.
- Ensure timely replenishment of food items, drinks, and supplies at serving stations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation, serving areas, and equipment.
- Operate and clean kitchen and catering equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with dishwashing and proper storage of dishes, utensils, and equipment post-event.
- Collaborate effectively with the catering team to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Prior experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment (minimum 6 months).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic team setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid food handler's permit or certification in Dubai (or willingness to obtain one).
- Previous experience with large-scale events or banqueting.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
