Key Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, restorations, extractions, and more specialized treatments.
  • Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment thoroughly following established guidelines.
  • Manage patient records, including taking and processing X-rays, updating medical history, and documenting treatment plans.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative instructions and advice to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of dental supplies and materials, placing orders as needed.
  • Ensure patient comfort and alleviate anxiety during dental visits.
  • Assist with laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and trimming models.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, health and safety regulations, and professional standards.

Required Skills

  • Recognized qualification in Dental Nursing or Dental Assisting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Dental Nurse in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in chairside assisting for various dental procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of infection control and sterilization techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
