Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our growing technology team in Plaine Magnien, Grand Port District. As a QA Automation Engineer at Cim Global Business, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our critical financial and corporate administration software systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks that streamline our testing processes and accelerate our software delivery cycles. This role requires a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for identifying and resolving defects. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to define testing strategies, create comprehensive test plans, and report on testing progress and outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering high-quality, secure, and user-friendly applications that support our global client base and uphold Cim Global Business’s reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C# with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
- Execute automated tests and analyse results to identify and report defects, working closely with development teams for timely resolution and re-testing.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, detailed test cases, and robust test strategies for new features, enhancements, and existing functionalities.
- Participate actively in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions to ensure testability and quality are built in from the outset of the development cycle.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts, to thoroughly understand system functionalities and user requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, tools, methodologies, and overall quality culture within the organisation.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing, as required to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Document testing procedures, test results, and defect reports accurately and clearly using appropriate tools.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
- Stay updated with the latest QA trends, automation tools, testing techniques, and industry best practices to continually enhance our testing capabilities.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
- Strong practical experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit).
- Solid understanding of software Quality Assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with API testing tools and concepts (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured).
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Demonstrated experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Proficient knowledge of SQL for database testing and data validation.
- Prior experience working in the financial services industry or with complex enterprise applications.
- Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
