Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Remote Accounts Reconciliation Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. As a Remote Accounts Reconciliation Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining the harmony between various financial accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies swiftly, and contributing to the overall financial health and reporting accuracy of NMB Bank.
In this full-time remote position, you will leverage your expertise to perform comprehensive reconciliations of bank statements, general ledger accounts, intercompany transactions, and various sub-ledgers. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank statements, general ledger accounts, and subsidiary ledgers.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner, coordinating with relevant departments as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive reconciliation reports and summaries for management review.
- Ensure strict adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all accounts are accurately reconciled.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with internal audit, external auditors, and other finance team members.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounts reconciliation, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, T24, Pastel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA).
