Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the industrial park perimeter, buildings, and critical areas.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding promptly and effectively to any alerts or suspicious activities.
- Control access points for vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises.
- Conduct thorough incident reporting, documenting all security-related events, observations, and actions taken.
- Deter and detect theft, vandalism, trespass, and other criminal activities.
- Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Liaise effectively with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) when necessary.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
- Provide a visible security presence, offering assistance and information to tenants and visitors as required.
- Perform routine checks of security equipment and report any malfunctions or defects.
Required Skills
- SIA Door Supervisor and/or Security Guarding license (valid and current)
- Proven experience in a security role, preferably within an industrial or corporate environment
- Excellent observational and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Strong understanding of security protocols and emergency procedures
- Basic IT proficiency for report writing and CCTV monitoring
- Full UK driving license with access to a reliable vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid at Work certification
- CCTV Operator license
- Experience with access control systems
- Proficiency in using two-way radio communication
- Knowledge of local area and industrial security challenges
