Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen areas, including workstations, equipment, and utensils, are cleaned and sanitized regularly to meet health and safety standards.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment, operating dishwashers efficiently.
- Support in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management of food supplies.
- Help organize and maintain the cleanliness of storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and report low stock levels to the kitchen manager or head chef.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations diligently.
- Assist with plate presentation and plating as directed by chefs.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, communicating effectively with all kitchen staff.
