Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the hostel premises, including common areas, rooms, and facilities.
- Perform routine checks, identify maintenance issues, and carry out minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry) promptly.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major repairs or specialized maintenance tasks.
- Monitor security systems and ensure the safety and security of all residents and property.
- Assist new residents with check-ins, orientation, and understanding hostel rules and regulations.
- Address resident inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of resident information, maintenance logs, and inventory.
- Oversee waste management and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
- Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance tools, reordering as needed.
- Enforce hostel rules and regulations to ensure a peaceful and orderly living environment.
- Provide basic administrative support as required, including report generation for management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in facilities management, housekeeping, or a similar residential support role.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry for minor repairs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents and staff.
