Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and organized Passport Office Queue Assistant to join a vibrant public service team in the heart of Liberty Village, Toronto. As a Passport Office Queue Assistant, you will be instrumental in managing visitor flow, providing clear initial guidance, and maintaining an orderly environment in a fast-paced setting. Your ability to calmly direct and assist a diverse public, often under time constraints, will directly contribute to the operational success of the passport services and significantly reduce stress for applicants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome applicants, providing clear and concise instructions regarding the queueing process.

  • Monitor waiting times and proactively communicate delays or changes to applicants.

  • Ensure the waiting area remains tidy and organized throughout operating hours.
  • Collaborate effectively with passport office staff to optimize service delivery and applicant experience.
  • Handle difficult or frustrated applicants with empathy and professionalism, de-escalating situations where possible.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
