As a Physiotherapist at Physio Active Clinic, you will be instrumental in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals suffering from various physical conditions, injuries, and disabilities. Your role will involve developing and implementing tailored treatment plans, utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic modalities including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and comprehensive patient education. You will be expected to guide patients through their recovery journey, setting realistic goals, monitoring progress, and adapting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. We serve a diverse patient base, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation and sports injuries to chronic pain management and geriatric care, offering a varied and stimulating caseload.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to diagnose conditions and identify patient needs.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patient goals and conditions.
- Administer a variety of physiotherapy treatments, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrophysical modalities, and ergonomic advice.
- Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment progression, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise programs.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely patient records, including assessment findings, treatment notes, and progress reports.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals (doctors, specialists, occupational therapists) to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
- Adhere strictly to professional ethical standards, safety regulations, and clinic policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in continuous professional development activities, team meetings, and clinic-wide initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and valid license to practice Physiotherapy in Mauritius.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive clinical experience in a rehabilitation or private practice setting.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough physical assessments, differential diagnosis, and developing effective treatment plans.
- Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise science.
- Excellent manual therapy skills and proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and techniques.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient and team interaction.
- Ability to empathize with patients, build strong therapeutic relationships, and motivate individuals through their recovery.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in using clinical management software for record-keeping and scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization or postgraduate certification in a specific area such as Sports Physiotherapy, Neurological Rehabilitation, Orthopaedics, or Women's Health.
- Experience with advanced rehabilitation techniques, dry needling, or specialized equipment.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and French Creole/French) is highly advantageous given the local demographic.
- Membership in a recognized professional physiotherapy association.
- Experience in community health programs or wellness initiatives promoting preventative care.
