Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on cost optimization and performance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure optimal operation, security, and compliance of cloud environments.
- Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline software deployment and release processes, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and resilience in the cloud.
- Develop and enforce stringent security best practices for all cloud resources, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
- Manage and optimize containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures to enhance operational flexibility.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing timely resolution to critical incidents and ensuring high availability of services.
- Document cloud architecture, processes, and operational procedures thoroughly to facilitate knowledge sharing and team efficiency.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and solutions to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within our platform.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Strong proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including a deep understanding of their core services.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) for managing cloud resources.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and system administration.
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog) for proactive system management.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and database management in the cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, Google Professional Cloud Engineer).
- Experience with serverless computing paradigms (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
- Familiarity with data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis) and big data platforms.
- Experience working in an AI/ML development environment, understanding specific infrastructure needs.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) is a plus.
