Job Description

Are you a highly motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for sales and a knack for building strong customer relationships? Safaricom PLC is seeking energetic and ambitious Sales Agents to join our dynamic sales force on a commission-based structure. In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of introducing Safaricom’s innovative products and services – from our renowned mobile voice and data packages to our transformative M-PESA financial solutions and cutting-edge home and enterprise connectivity – to a diverse range of potential customers across Nairobi and its environs. Your primary mission will be to identify new sales opportunities, proactively engage with prospective clients through various channels (e.g., direct sales, events, referrals), understand their unique communication and financial needs, and effectively position Safaricom’s comprehensive offerings as the ideal solution. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to achieving and exceeding challenging yet rewarding sales targets. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities to acquire new customers for Safaricom products and services.
  • Engage with prospective clients through various channels, including direct visits, cold calling, and participation in sales events.
  • Present and demonstrate Safaricom's range of products and services, including mobile voice, data, M-PESA, fibre-to-the-home, and enterprise solutions.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions that align with Safaricom's offerings.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Provide accurate information regarding product features, pricing, and promotions.
  • Process sales orders and ensure proper documentation and activation of services.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Represent Safaricom PLC professionally and uphold the company's brand values.

  • Fluency in English and Swahili.
  • A valid driving license and access to reliable transportation.
