Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Massage Therapy Assistant to join our growing team in Akure, Ondo State. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms to ensure a clean, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for clients.
  • Assist lead massage therapists with client intake procedures, including preparing clients for sessions and gathering relevant health information.
  • Manage and organize therapy supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper sanitation.
  • Support therapists during sessions by providing necessary tools, oils, or towels as requested.
  • Perform light administrative duties such as scheduling, client check-ins/check-outs, and processing payments.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the reception area, waiting room, and other common spaces.
  • Educate clients on post-session care instructions and recommend relevant products or services.
  • Handle laundry and ensure a consistent supply of fresh, clean linens.
  • Assist in maintaining client records and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company protocols.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service or client-facing role, preferably within a spa, salon, or wellness center.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Basic computer proficiency for scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
  • Demonstrated passion for health, wellness, and therapeutic practices.
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain client confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or diploma in a related field (e.g., healthcare assistant, cosmetology, massage therapy program).
  • Familiarity with various massage modalities and spa treatments.
  • Experience using spa management software.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
