Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide array of clothing alterations and repairs, including hemming, mending tears, replacing zippers, resizing garments, and adjusting seams.
- Conduct fittings with customers to accurately assess their needs and provide expert recommendations for tailoring solutions.
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines, sergers, and other specialized tailoring equipment.
- Handle various fabric types, including delicate materials, heavy-duty fabrics, and specialty textiles, ensuring appropriate techniques are applied.
- Manage workflow efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of craftsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their requests and providing clear explanations of the work to be done.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience from consultation to garment handover.
