Job Description

Are you a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for connecting with customers and driving sales? East African Breweries Limited (EABL) is seeking an energetic Field Marketer with a strong Outdoor Sales focus to join our dynamic team in Pipeline, Nairobi. In this pivotal role, you will be the face of EABL on the ground, directly engaging with retailers, distributors, and consumers to promote our diverse portfolio of world-class beverage brands. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, and is committed to achieving ambitious sales targets. You will be responsible for expanding our market presence, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong, lasting relationships within your assigned territory.

Your day-to-day will involve extensive outdoor activity, including visiting retail outlets, conducting product demonstrations, securing new listings, ensuring optimal product visibility, and gathering crucial market intelligence. You will be instrumental in executing marketing campaigns, launching new products, and ensuring that our brands are top-of-mind for both trade partners and consumers. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute outdoor sales and marketing strategies within the Pipeline, Nairobi territory.
  • Identify and onboard new retail outlets and distribution partners for EABL products.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor product availability, visibility, and competitor activities.
  • Implement promotional activities, product launches, and merchandising initiatives effectively.
  • Provide product knowledge and training to retailers and their staff.
  • Collect and report market intelligence, consumer feedback, and sales data.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and minimize out-of-stock situations in assigned outlets.
  • Prepare daily and weekly sales reports for management review.
  • Represent EABL professionally and ethically in all interactions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in field marketing or outdoor sales, preferably in FMCG.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a defined sales territory effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive a motorcycle or car (if required).
  • High level of integrity and professional conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with alcoholic beverage sales or distribution.
  • Familiarity with the Pipeline, Nairobi market and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to speak local languages in addition to English and Swahili.
