Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate medical appointments, surgeries, and diagnostic tests for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and faxes, addressing inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Prepare and process medical reports, correspondence, invoices, and other administrative documents with precision.
  • Assist with patient registration, admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, ensuring a smooth patient journey.
  • Liaise effectively between patients, medical staff, and other hospital departments to ensure seamless operational flow and information exchange.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and maintain an organized, tidy, and professional work environment.
  • Process billing and insurance claims, providing accurate and timely support to the finance department as needed.
  • Provide comprehensive general administrative support to medical practitioners and the hospital administration team.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, hospital administrative procedures, and healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with hospital management software or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
