Key Responsibilities
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly sanitizing workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate basic kitchen machinery safely and efficiently, under supervision.
- Support the cooking team by fetching ingredients, transferring prepared food, and assisting with plating during peak hours.
- Ensure proper storage of food items, adhering to health and safety regulations and rotation schedules.
- Handle dishwashing duties, ensuring a constant supply of clean plates, cutlery, and cookware.
- Dispose of waste and recycling properly, maintaining cleanliness in waste areas.
- Monitor inventory levels for essential supplies and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace conduct.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere, offering help and support to colleagues as needed.
