Key Responsibilities

  • Shadow and learn all aspects of front desk operations, including guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and payment processing.
  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their stay.
  • Answer phones and direct calls, respond to guest inquiries, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems quickly.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.

  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, food service) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) is a bonus but not required.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is considered an advantage.
