You’ll be responsible for rotating products to ensure freshness, checking expiry dates, and maintaining a clean and organized work area, including cold storage units. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack deliveries of refrigerated and frozen goods.
- Efficiently stock display cases and shelves with fresh and frozen products.
- Rotate stock regularly to ensure product freshness and minimize waste (FIFO method).
- Monitor and record product temperatures to comply with food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooler, freezer, and backroom storage areas.
- Inspect products for quality, damage, or expiry dates and remove as necessary.
- Assist customers with inquiries and locate products when needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely (training provided).
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability and punctuality.
