Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and physically capable Rice Mill Helper to join our growing team in Calabar. This full-time, on-site position is crucial to the efficient operation of our rice processing facility. As a Rice Mill Helper, you will be an integral part of our production line, assisting with various tasks that ensure the smooth flow of rice from raw material to finished product. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading raw rice and finished products from trucks and into designated storage areas.
- Operate and monitor basic milling machinery under supervision, ensuring efficient processing.
- Clean and maintain the rice mill equipment and work areas to uphold strict hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor rice quality during various stages of processing, reporting any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist in packaging and bagging finished rice products for distribution.
- Transport materials and products within the mill using trolleys or pallet jacks.
- Follow all company safety protocols and operational guidelines diligently.
- Perform general labour duties as assigned by the mill supervisor.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy bags (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in an industrial setting.
