Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors in various areas.
- Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and polishers, safely and effectively.
- Ensure all floors are free of spills, debris, and hazards to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, paying special attention to floor surfaces.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including baseboards, ledges, and fixtures.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of any shortages or equipment maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to learn more.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal) to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
