Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Camera Assistant to join our growing production team in the Dresden Airport Area. Key Responsibilities
- Assist cinematographers with camera setup, breakdown, and relocation on set.
- Handle, clean, and maintain camera equipment, lenses, and accessories with utmost care.
- Organize and manage camera support equipment, including tripods, dollies, and sliders.
- Ensure batteries are charged and media cards are prepared and formatted for shoots.
- Maintain accurate inventory of camera equipment before, during, and after productions.
- Support lighting and grip departments as needed, fostering a collaborative set environment.
- Run cables and assist with power distribution to camera systems.
- Learn and adhere to all on-set safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Proactively anticipate the needs of the camera department and offer timely support.
- Assist with basic data wrangling and media management if required.
Required Skills
- Strong enthusiasm for film, video production, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent work ethic and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry camera equipment (up to 20kg).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Basic understanding of camera equipment is a plus, but not strictly required.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) for clear communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational training or a degree/diploma in film, media, or photography.
- Prior experience in a production environment, even as a volunteer or intern.
- Basic knowledge of different camera systems (e.g., Arri, RED, Sony, Canon).
- Fundamental understanding of lighting principles.
- Valid driver's license (Class B/3) for Germany.
- Proficiency in German is a significant advantage for local productions.
