Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily classroom activities and lessons.
  • Provide individualized or small-group instruction to students needing extra support or enrichment.
  • Help prepare instructional materials, such as worksheets, art supplies, and learning aids.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, playtime, lunch, and transitions.
  • Reinforce positive behavior and assist with classroom management under the teacher's guidance.
  • Support students with special needs, adapting activities as necessary to ensure their inclusion and participation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Communicate effectively with the lead teacher regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Observe and document student behavior and academic progress as required.
  • Assist with grading papers, recording grades, and other administrative tasks to support the teacher.
