Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load, transport, and deliver items to clients in a safe and timely manner.
- Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring punctuality for all deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles or equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Handle packages with care, preventing damage during transit and delivery.
- Collect payments, obtain signatures, and provide receipts upon delivery when required.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and organizing packages, as needed.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Assistant (minimum 6 months).
- Valid rider’s license (if applicable for motorcycle deliveries) or driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of Lagos road networks, particularly Victoria Island and surrounding areas.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of various weights and sizes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
- Previous experience in logistics or a customer-facing role.
- A clean driving/riding record.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
