Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with KCB's brand and marketing objectives for the Garissa market.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging content (text, image, video) for all KCB social media channels, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a 'social' way while cultivating leads and maintaining brand reputation.
  • Analyze social media data, campaign performance, and trends to identify insights and optimize future strategies.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, platforms, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, PR, customer service, product development) to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
  • Implement social media SEO tactics to increase visibility and search rankings.
  • Develop and manage a social media content calendar to ensure consistent posting schedules.
  • Identify and engage with local influencers and community partners to amplify KCB's presence and reach.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or Digital Marketing Specialist.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube platforms and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of social media metrics, SEO, and web traffic metrics.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Strong content creation skills, including exceptional copywriting and basic graphic design abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili, both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry in Kenya.
  • Familiarity with local Garissa County culture, market dynamics, and digital landscape.
  • Experience in video editing and animation for social media content creation.
  • Certification in Digital Marketing or Social Media Management from a recognized institution.
