Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and proactive Facility Maintenance Assistant to join our vibrant team in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on building systems, equipment, and general infrastructure.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential maintenance needs or hazards.
  • Execute minor repairs and installations, ensuring all work is completed safely and to high standards.
  • Assist senior maintenance staff and external contractors with more complex repair and renovation projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and material usage.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance workshops, tools, and storage areas.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in line with environmental guidelines.
  • Provide general assistance to all departments to ensure smooth facility operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in general building maintenance or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical condition and strength to perform manual tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
