Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming merchandise, verifying contents against shipping invoices and documenting discrepancies.
- Efficiently sort, organize, and store products in designated stockroom areas, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Replenish sales floor with merchandise from the stockroom, ensuring shelves, racks, and displays are fully stocked, faced, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness, proper product presentation, and minimize waste (where applicable, e.g., groceries or dated items).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and sales floor at all times, including removing empty boxes, packaging, and debris.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts, cycle counts, and participate in loss prevention efforts through careful handling and accurate record-keeping.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if needed and required).
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, company policies, and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with team members and management regarding stock levels, product locations, and any potential issues.
- Support the overall retail operations by assisting with merchandising tasks or other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs regularly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and an impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative.
- Proven reliability and excellent punctuality.
