Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers, engage in active listening to understand their needs, and provide expert product recommendations.
- Effectively present and demonstrate product features, benefits, and usage to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Accurately process sales transactions, handle cash, and manage returns/exchanges using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Maintain an impeccably clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and display areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
- Proactively resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Actively contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Stay informed about current product features, benefits, specifications, promotions, and competitor offerings.
- Participate in daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring store readiness and security.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a positive and productive retail environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Proven ability to thrive and maintain composure in a fast-paced retail or customer service environment.
- Proficiency in basic math and accurate cash handling procedures.
- Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to assist and engage customers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous work experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail sales or direct customer service role (6+ months).
- Familiarity with specific product categories relevant to our offerings (e.g., electronics, apparel, home goods, etc.).
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., English/Spanish) are a plus, but not required.
