Job Description
Solution Sacco is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Business Analyst (Corporate) to join our dynamic team in Embu County. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, driving process improvements, and informing strategic decision-making across various departments. You will work closely with stakeholders from management to operations, gathering requirements, analyzing complex data sets, identifying opportunities for optimization, and recommending actionable solutions to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery, and profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough business process analysis, identifying inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement across various departments.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders, translating them into clear and concise functional specifications for system enhancements or new projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed process maps, workflow diagrams, and data models to visualize current and future state processes.
- Perform data analysis to support business decisions, identify trends, forecast outcomes, and measure the impact of implemented solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and technical capabilities.
- Prepare comprehensive business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to support proposed initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to elicit requirements, validate solutions, and gain consensus.
- Support project management activities, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Develop and deliver training materials and user guides for new systems or processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives and deliver expected benefits.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to the Sacco sector.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial services or Sacco sector.
- Proven experience in business process mapping, analysis, and re-engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL) and business intelligence platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visrica).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (PMP).
- Experience with Sacco management systems or core banking systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing financial institutions in Kenya.
