Key Responsibilities
- Sort linen, towels, and uniforms according to type, color, and degree of soil.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and ironers safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload laundry machines, adhering to proper weight limits and cycles.
- Monitor laundry equipment for proper functioning and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean linen, towels, and uniforms neatly.
- Deliver clean linen to various departments and guest rooms as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts of linen and supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 25 kg) frequently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
