Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective support to food delivery riders via phone, chat, and email, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance on operational procedures.
- Assist riders with app navigation, order management, payment discrepancies, and technical difficulties they might encounter during deliveries.
- Act as a liaison between riders, dispatch, and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication and quick resolution of complex problems.
- Monitor rider performance metrics and provide feedback or escalation as needed to optimize delivery efficiency and service quality.
- Document all rider interactions and resolutions accurately in our support system for record-keeping and continuous improvement.
- Participate in training sessions and stay updated on company policies, app features, and service protocols to provide accurate information.
- Contribute to creating a positive and supportive environment for our rider community.
- Handle rider onboarding inquiries and initial setup guidance as required.
- Proactively identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to streamline rider support processes.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in local dialects (Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) being a strong plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service or support role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new software/systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as per operational needs.
- Empathy and patience, with a genuine desire to assist others.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the logistics, e-commerce, or food delivery industry.
- Familiarity with geomapping tools and navigation software.
- Experience with CRM software or helpdesk platforms.
- A diploma or degree in a related field.
- Ability to speak multiple Nigerian languages.
