Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize inventory control procedures and policies to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Manage inventory forecasts, track inventory turns, and identify opportunities for improvement in stock accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory data, including stock levels, sales trends, and production requirements, to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure timely ordering, receiving, and dispatch of goods.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Implement and manage warehouse layout and storage optimization strategies for efficient inventory flow.
  • Utilize inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) to track and report on inventory performance.
  • Identify and resolve inventory-related issues, including damaged goods, returns, and discrepancies.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on inventory status, performance metrics, and cost analysis.
  • Train and supervise junior inventory staff or warehouse personnel as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and operational standards in the warehouse.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain roles.
  • Proven proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles and logistics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage flexible working hours effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).

  • Familiarity with Singaporean logistics and customs regulations.
