Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize inventory control procedures and policies to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Manage inventory forecasts, track inventory turns, and identify opportunities for improvement in stock accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze inventory data, including stock levels, sales trends, and production requirements, to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure timely ordering, receiving, and dispatch of goods.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation to minimize discrepancies and losses.
- Implement and manage warehouse layout and storage optimization strategies for efficient inventory flow.
- Utilize inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) to track and report on inventory performance.
- Identify and resolve inventory-related issues, including damaged goods, returns, and discrepancies.
- Generate comprehensive reports on inventory status, performance metrics, and cost analysis.
- Train and supervise junior inventory staff or warehouse personnel as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and operational standards in the warehouse.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain roles.
- Proven proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and logistics.
