Job Description
Masvingo Concrete Products (Pvt) Ltd. is currently seeking dedicated and physically robust Construction Laborers to join our dynamic team in Masvingo. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to significant construction projects and grow their skills within a supportive environment. As a Construction Laborer, you will be an integral part of our on-site operations, providing essential support to skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth progress of various construction tasks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a variety of physically demanding duties, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions, requiring stamina, strength, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key aspects of this role include preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and loading/unloading materials, which are critical first steps in any project. You will assist in the setup and dismantling of temporary structures, scaffolding, and safety barriers, ensuring a secure working environment for everyone. This position requires careful handling and transport of heavy materials such as concrete blocks, bags of cement, sand, gravel, and other building supplies, often manually or with the aid of hand trucks and basic machinery. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, which is vital for operational efficiency and accident prevention. This involves sweeping, removing waste, and properly storing tools and equipment after use.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, clearing obstacles, and setting up necessary equipment.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials (e.g., concrete blocks, cement, sand, gravel) manually or using basic equipment.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., masons, carpenters, plumbers) with various tasks as directed.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth to required specifications.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Clean and organize work areas, ensuring proper storage of tools and materials.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on site as needed.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy objects consistently (up to 50 lbs or 23 kg).
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a construction or manual labor role.
- Familiarity with basic construction tools and machinery.

- Valid Class 4 driver's license.
