Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality audio mastering for a variety of musical genres and spoken word content.
- Utilize advanced digital and analog processing tools to achieve optimal sonic balance, dynamics, and clarity.
- Ensure compliance with all technical specifications for various distribution formats (e.g., streaming, CD, vinyl, broadcast).
- Conduct critical listening sessions to identify and resolve any audio imperfections or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate closely with artists, producers, and mixing engineers to understand their creative intent and provide expert feedback.
- Maintain and calibrate mastering studio equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communications effectively and professionally.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in audio mastering.
- Archive and manage project files securely and systematically.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional audio mastering experience.
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Studio One) and mastering software (e.g., Izotope Ozone, FabFilter, WaveLab, Sequoia).
- Deep understanding of audio signal processing, acoustics, and psychoacoustics.
- Exceptional critical listening skills and a highly developed 'golden ear'.
- Strong knowledge of various audio codecs, file formats, and mastering standards.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Fluency in English (German language skills are a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
- Certifications in specific mastering software or hardware platforms.
- Experience with surround sound mastering (e.g., Dolby Atmos).
