Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and reliable On-site Driver Assistant to join our clients’ fast-paced delivery operations in Al Twar 1, Dubai. This is an essential full-time role that supports the primary delivery driver in ensuring efficient, safe, and timely transportation and delivery of goods across various locations within Dubai and occasionally other Emirates. As a Driver Assistant, you will be the backbone of our logistics efforts, playing a pivotal role in the success of daily delivery routes and directly contributing to customer satisfaction.
Your day will involve a variety of tasks, from meticulously preparing delivery vehicles with the correct cargo to assisting with navigating routes and ensuring packages are handled with care from dispatch to delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the primary driver with the loading and unloading of goods into and from the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Verify merchandise against delivery manifests to ensure accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
- Assist with route navigation, utilizing GPS and local knowledge to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, ensuring a professional and courteous interaction.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and basic operational checks of the delivery vehicle.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
- Handle delivery documentation, including proof of delivery, and collect payments if required.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, delivery discrepancies, or customer feedback to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and other team members to optimize workflow and problem-solve delivery challenges.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar assistant, logistics, or physically demanding role.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages frequently throughout the day.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual and committed to meeting schedules.
- Basic knowledge of Dubai road networks and landmarks is an advantage.
