Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the basic preparation of food items, including washing, chopping, and organizing ingredients, under the guidance of kitchen staff.
- Set up dining areas, buffets, and serving stations with appropriate cutlery, crockery, glassware, and decorations, ensuring an inviting presentation.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Clear tables and wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment, ensuring all items are cleaned and stored according to hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and equipment throughout shifts.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock, ensuring proper inventory management and minimizing waste.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support senior catering staff and chefs in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation of catering services.
