Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Stage Manager to orchestrate the seamless execution of our diverse theatrical productions in Wiesbaden. The successful candidate will serve as the central communication hub for all production elements, acting as the crucial link between the director, cast, crew, and technical departments. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of stage operations during rehearsals and live performances, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to schedules.
- Develop, maintain, and execute the prompt book, including tracking blocking, cues, and script changes with meticulous accuracy.
- Coordinate daily schedules for rehearsals, fittings, and technical calls, effectively communicating updates to the entire cast and crew.
- Act as the primary liaison between the director, cast, and all technical departments (lighting, sound, set, costumes, props), ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel on stage and backstage, rigorously enforcing safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Lead and motivate the stage crew, delegating tasks and overseeing their performance to maintain high operational standards.
- Anticipate and troubleshoot potential issues during performances, making swift and effective decisions to resolve problems with minimal disruption.
- Facilitate pre-show preparation, performance execution, and post-show breakdown, including securing equipment and maintaining order backstage.
- Document all production notes, attendance records, and incident reports comprehensively.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) as a Stage Manager in professional theatre productions.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
- Outstanding leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German.
- Demonstrable proficiency in prompt book management and cueing techniques.
- A keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities, capable of making quick and sound decisions under pressure.
