Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API references, online help content, and release notes.
- Collaborate with product development, engineering, and support teams to gather information, understand product functionality, and accurately document technical specifications.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand content for a diverse audience.
- Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect product changes, new features, and improvements.
- Create and manage training materials for internal teams and external users.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to company style guides and branding standards across all documentation.
- Participate in product planning and design discussions to provide input on user interface text and overall user experience.
- Research and learn new technologies, processes, and tools to enhance documentation quality and efficiency.
- Conduct documentation reviews and incorporate feedback from various stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in a software or technology environment.
- Demonstrable experience writing clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.
- Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, Adobe FrameMaker) and content management systems.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Portfolio of relevant technical writing samples demonstrating ability to explain complex concepts.
