Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior scientists and researchers in conducting various experiments and tests according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Prepare and process samples, reagents, and media with precision and accuracy, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration, cleanliness, and functionality; report any malfunctions promptly.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in lab notebooks and digital systems.
- Perform basic data analysis and generate preliminary reports under the close supervision of senior staff.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, quality control procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GLP).
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and tracking supplies to ensure continuous operations.
- Participate actively in team meetings, contributing to scientific discussions and collaborative problem-solving efforts.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians or supervisors as needed.
- Ensure the laboratory environment remains organized, clean, and conducive to high-quality research, following 5S principles.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in basic data entry, record-keeping, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
