This vital role involves being the first point of contact for all visitors and ensuring the security and orderly access to our premises. As a Gatekeeper, you will be instrumental in upholding the safety protocols, managing inbound and outbound traffic, and providing a welcoming yet secure presence for our facility. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the premises for employees, visitors, and vehicles.
- Maintain accurate logs of all incoming and outgoing personnel and assets.
- Conduct routine patrols of the assigned gate area to identify and report any security breaches or suspicious activities.
- Operate gate barriers, surveillance cameras, and other security equipment effectively.
- Receive and direct visitors courteously, providing necessary information while ensuring adherence to entry procedures.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures at all times.
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations and alert appropriate authorities.
- Manage the sign-in/sign-out process for contractors, deliveries, and guests.
- Ensure the gate area and surrounding perimeter are clean and well-maintained.
- Provide clear and concise handovers to the next shift.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs pertaining to the gate or security systems.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a security, gatekeeping, or related role.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and protocols.
- Physical fitness to stand and patrol for extended periods.
